Due to China's national family planning policy, there are more and more one-child families, and most children cannot find suitable playmates. Especially when the parents have no time to take care of their children, the children will feel lonely. This kind of loneliness causes most children to have their fantasy friends, and their most common function is to give comfort to children and help them to endure boredom, loneliness, or fear.
Therefore, I want to derive the theme of the picture book "Twelve Monkeys" based on children's loneliness, because monkeys are the image closest to human beings and will make children feel more cordial. And in this book, I have hidden a careful thought: the number of monkeys on each page is constantly increasing so that the things they can do when they are combined become more and more unique. I hope every child can feel that there are twelve monkeys by their side when reading this book.
